This is a professional quality punchdown tool for terminating network cables in keystone jacks, patch panels and IDC terminals, also known as an insertion tool or IDC tool. It trims off the excess at the same time as making the connection. A 110 blade is supplied for standard IDC terminals used with cat5e and cat6 cabling in keystone jacks or patch panels. The blades can be easily replaced with industry standard blades using the twist and lock bayonet style retention socket. Spare blades are available for both the 110 and the 66 standard IDC terminals and can be stored in the handle.
The handle is industry standard colour coded yellow on the cut side of the tool to avoid accidental cutting of the wrong side of the conductor. Two settings are provided for impact force - High and Low. Also incorporated in the insertion tool's handle are a hook and spudger to help manage conductor routing and placement.
This tool is supplied with a manufacturer's 5 year warranty covering manufacturing and material defects.
