This Kauden XT488 Cable Stripping Tool can be used to strip or trim a variety of different cable types. It has several cutters built-in to perform various operations.
It works with UTP or FTP, Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A network ethernet cables and the same cutter can be used to strip other round cables. Unlike the XT487, the XT488 has a screw rather than a thumbscrew to determine the depth of cut according to the diameter of the cable. Spin the tool around to effect the cut.
A dedicated blade allows the tool to be used to strip flat telephone cable, while a further built-in blade allows trimming of copper conductors.
Works with various other multicore cables between 3.2mm and 9mm in diameter.
