Whether for Blu-ray™, HD DVD, Sky HD or the ultimate HD Gaming Experience, the InFocus IN81, with its full HD 1080p DLP panel, will ensure every video source can be viewed at its highest possible resolution.

At the heart of the IN81 is a Texas Instruments™ 1920 x 1080 DarkChip2 DLP® chipset creating deep, rich blacks, and bright, pure whites while preserving all of the subtle shades in between. Two future-proof HDMI 1.3 inputs with Deep Color™ support can display up to 1.07 billion colours for a perfectly smooth, lifelike picture in which every colour nuance is revealed.

A dedicated Pixelworks™ DNX™ 10-bit video processor ensures that, irrespective of source material, the IN81 will provide you with vibrant, artefact-free images, full of natural-looking detail and seamless motion.

InFocus home theatre projectors are renowned for their out-of-the-box accuracy to the video optimised D6500K colour standard without sacrificing black levels or brightness. The IN81 continues the tradition, also boasting a contrast ratio ranging from 3000:1 (native) up to 10000:1 (iris-enabled) and a video optimised brightness of 1400 ANSI lumens - considerably brighter than most home theatre projectors. The IN81 will produce stunning high definition images up to 3m wide.

The IN81 can be optimised by an ISF approved installer ensuring the projected image is custom-tuned to your viewing conditions. If you accidentally alter these settings a single button restore feature returns your projector to its optimised state.

For added versatility, an optional anamorphic lens attachment, in combination with the IN81’s sophisticated on-board video processing, allows 2.35:1 movies to be viewed utilising the projector’s full 1920 x1080 resolution.

With connectivity for every conceivable source component, discrete IR and RS232 control, a sleek and sophisticated low-profile housing and the innovative ‘Play Big’ swivel base design, the InFocus IN81 will integrate seamlessly with both dedicated and multi-purpose High Definition home entertainment systems, and provide wonderfully rich, vibrant and detailed pictures from any source for the image connoisseur.

Will the picture fit your screen?

Picture size is adjustable within the minimum and maximum limits shown in the table below. Measure the distance between the projector lens and the screen in feet and use the table to see the size of the picture diagonal, height and width in inches. Ideally, the picture should just overlap the white area of your screen. All measurements assume a 16:9 image.
