Primare CD21 Dual Mono DAC CD Player. AESEBU Digital Out. IR / RS232.
The CD21 combines an exceptionally accurate disc transport with start-of-the-art digital processing and an audiophile-grade analogue stage to create a player of breathtaking resolution and dynamics.
It has long been understood that DVD-Rom mechanisms can provide superior disc reading ability. The CD21 utilises a CD optimised ultra quiet DVD-Rom drive, providing significant improvements in accuracy and error correction.
Designed as a dual-mono construction, the CD21 uses two discrete Burr-Brown PCM1738 DACs, one for each channel. A single-ended analogue output stage uses discrete ultra-fast regulators. These characteristically high quality design elements restore smooth, undistorted, naturally three-dimensional music to the listener.
A newly designed R-Type power supply provides separate windings for the analogue, digital and transport sections, ensuring the optimised operation of each area.
To assist custom installation, the CD21 incorporates a hard wired IR input and RS232 control. The CD21 can also be controlled via its own C22 remote control or Primare’s optional C32 system remote.
Satin Black or Titanium finishes provide a match with all Primare amplifiers.
